Interlibrary Loan (ILL) offers Jacksonville Public Library cardholders in good standing the opportunity to request and receive materials that are not owned by the library. Through Interlibrary Loan, you have access to the circulating book collections of library systems in Florida, as well as universities and public library systems throughout the United States. Through ILL, cardholders can also request photocopies from books and periodicals that are not owned in JPL’s collections and databases.
Cardholders wishing to place Interlibrary Loan requests must have an ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan Internet accessible database) account. Click on the First Time Users link to sign up.
For answers to questions about Interlibrary Loan and ILLiad, click here to read the ILL Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Libraries wishing to request items from Jacksonville Public Library should request them using OCLC or using the ILL request form found at the ALA website. Please read JPL’s ILL Lending statement in the OCLC ILL Policies Directory prior to making requests.
